On 16 Oct.2023, International Business School, Beijing Foreign Studies University successfully held the 2023 International Education Forum. The forum focuses on cooperation and mutual learning exploration with educational institutions in the "Belt and Road" countries. Representatives from high schools and institutions from Asian countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia etc. attended the forum. Niu Huayong, Dean of IBS.BFSU, Li Maolin, deputy director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office and director of Overseas Students Affairs Office BFSU attended the forum and delivered the speech. Dong Lili, IBS.BFSU School committee member, director of International Student Office, IBS.BFSU hosted the event.

Niu Huayong gave a general introduction to IBS.BFSU. He said, IBS.BFSU is committed to cultivating the future business talents by sharing global business practices and technological advances with partners, and building a global business school that connects China and the world's business civilization. "Internationalization" has always been the goal and aim of IBS.BFSU, and international education cooperation is the most important for the sustainable development of the school.

Afterwards, Li Maolin, deputy director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office and director of Overseas Students Affairs Office BFSU introduced BFSU and international student management. He said that it is highly appreciated that many present partner schools have sent many excellent undergraduate students to BFSU, and he hopes this forum would enable teachers to have a deeper understanding of BFSU so as to provide more opportunities for students who are interested in studying in China.

Dong Lili made detailed introduction to degree programs and short-term programs for international students. She stated, under the framework of ‘Internationalization-Integration-Immersion’, IBS.BFSU provides international students with a learning environment featured with internationalization, various campus activities integrating them with peers from various cultural background, and immersive experience in Chinese culture, business internship and practices. This August witnessed IBSBFSU officially received the AACSB Accreditation, which signifies that business education of IBSBFSU has reached the top level in the world. In addition, Dong expressed her expectation to deepen cooperation and exchange with all partners attending the forum, in order to help more students to be more fully prepared for studying and living in China, and to help them have their dream come true.

IBS.BFSU Student Ambassadors from Cambodia, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia and Laos shared with the guests the unique charm of IBS.BFSU, their personal experience of studying, and their life in Beijing by introducing the courses, campus activities, the support provided by IBS.BFSU team, and the study and living environment on and off campus.

In the afternoon, the guests had the campus tour guided by Student Ambassadors.

The forum provided an important communication platform for BFSU as well as guest educational institutions, promoting in-depth mutual understanding and building a solid foundation for future international education cooperation. The guests expressed that they will continue to work together with IBS.BFSU to cultivate more interdisciplinary talents who keep their country in mind, and who have global outlook and professional competence.
