Choosing IBS.BFSU was driven by my desire to study in the dynamic landscape of China and engage in a vibrant community where individuals from diverse backgrounds exchange their ideas and experiences. In the days with IBS.BFSU, I did gain valuable insights from friends of various countries, as I had expected. Club activities are highly encouraged at IBS.BFSU, maximizing the benefits of being part of school. It was a remarkable opportunity to serve as the inaugural president of KBSA (Korean Business Students Association), and with great support from IBS, we successfully organized the first student-led business competition in Beijing.

Studying in IBS.BFSU is a great fortune for those who plan to start a business as we are acquiring the crucial human resources during the stay in this prestigious institution. Here, we not only share insights on business and trends but also learn about cultural differences from diverse countries. These relationships can develop into partnerships in the future, leading to mutual growth and the synergistic effect. All in all, I want to say party hard and make more friends.

If you ask me whether IBS.BFSU in China met my expectations, the answer is a resounding yes. From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with IBS.BFSU. It provided a safe and international environment where I learned a tremendous amount.

After graduation, I became a lecturer at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in the Department of International Business Management. With the strong friendship between Cambodia and China, along with my passion for international business, I seized a golden opportunity to engage in international business negotiations for governmental projects between Cambodia and China. Currently, I have also established my own construction company. Moreover, I was honored as the Global Goals Youth Action Ambassador 2023, supporting the United Nations' youth vision for 2030 in Malaysia.

The best advice I have to offer is to be open-minded. Don’t be too judgmental. Try to understand that it is a whole different world compared to what you are familiar with. Lastly, I strongly encourage international students to seize the opportunity to study in China. You will encounter friendly people, rich cultures, diverse cuisine, and have the chance to learn about China's advancements in studies, technologies, and products. It's an invaluable experience for those interested in understanding the development of other countries as well.

People often ask me why I chose to study in China, specifically at IBS.BFSU. The answer is simple: I wanted to be in an innovative and dynamic business environment while immersing myself in a diverse community of people with different backgrounds and experiences. Winning the second-tier prizes at the 11th APEX Business Competition and the Nanjing First Hundred Universities Students Innovation Entrepreneurship Competition, had a profound impact on my career path and inspired me to embark on my own entrepreneurial journey. It's important for each individual to chart their own career path and progress, without fixating too much on others' achievements and causing unnecessary anxiety. My experience at BFSU has been incredibly positive, with a supportive and welcoming environment that has greatly enhanced my academic journey. From the moment I arrived on campus, I felt a sense of belonging and excitement, knowing that I had made the right choice.

I am Nico, I spent my semester abroad at BFSU in 2018 and it was an amazing experience. I was able to make friends with people of many different cultures on the campus, our international community felt like a family.

I would love to get back to Beijing to be able to relive those moments and experience all the things the city has to offer again.

Hello! My name is Marc Pilon, and I am a graduate of a dual degree program with Beijing Foreign Studies University and Concordia University of Edmonton here in Canada. I chose this program to pursue my dream of traveling to China, learning the language, their way of life, and how they do business. My expectations with this program were to spend my second and third year studying abroad in Beijing. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I had to restructure my way of life to accommodate to Beijing and its time zone. Although it was a tough experience, it has taught me a strong work ethic that has shaped me into the dedicated worker that I am today.

The school itself has had the greatest professors from all around the world. Each person comes from a different cultural background, which gives you a direct insight into that culture and how they do business. I was very fortunate to have such great guidance throughout my time with IBS.BFSU.

Today I work with a company named Cintas Canada Limited as a Management Trainee, they are a Fortune 500 company, and I am learning the ins and outs of how they operate daily and how to manage a team. I would only have had the opportunities that I have had with my time with BFSU and would recommend the school to anyone looking for a new experience and the education of a lifetime
