Please come and register on the dates specified in your Admission Notice for registration. Please note that no registration and visa processing services are available if you arrive earlier than the required dates.

For arrivals at Beijing Capital International Airport

a. During the registration days, BFSU staff will wait at the Exit for International Arrival at Terminal 3 to assist you with transportation to campus.

b. If you do not arrive on the registration days, you can choose from three options to reach BFSU:

1) Take the airport shuttle bus to Gongzhufen (Line 4) and get off at Suzhouqiao. BFSU is 300 meters south of this stop.

2) Right out of the airport there is a Taxi Stand. Make sure you get into a taxi at the taxi stand. Please get off at West Gate of East Campus, BFSU, Xisanhuan Beilu No.2, Haidian District. It will cost you about CNY 150 to take a taxi to BFSU (40 km). Don't forget to ask for a receipt (fa piao) to verify the bill.

3) Take "Airport Express" from Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 to Sanyuanqiao, transfer to Subway Line 10, after 11 stops to Haidian Huangzhuang, then transfer to Subway Line 4, Daxing Line (direction of Tiangongyuan), after 2 stops, get off at Weigongcun (Exit D), and walk 880 meters to the East Gate of East Campus, BFSU.

For arrivals at Daxing International Airport:

1) Take the airport shuttle bus Zhongguancun Line (Daxing Airport - Gongzhufen), get off at Gongzhufen, change to No. 74 bus, get off at Weigongqiao and walk about 90 meters north to BFSU.

2) Right out of the airport there is a Taxi Stand. Make sure you get into a taxi at the taxi stand. Please get off at West Gate of East Campus, BFSU, Xisanhuan Beilu No.2, Haidian District. It will cost you about CNY 200 to take a taxi to BFSU (60 km). Don’t forget to ask for a receipt (fa piao) to verify the bill.

3) Take airport shuttle bus Daxing Airport Line, from Daxing Airport Station (Exit A, departure Station) to Caoqiao, then walk about 500 meters to take Subway Line 10, after 7 stops to Lianhuaqiao, walk about 200 meters from Lianhuaqiao (Exit C) to take bus No. 322 or 603, after 10 stops get off at Weigongqiao, and walk about 90 meters north to BFSU.

a. Students need to take all the required materials and register in person.

d. Materials Required: Admission Notice, JW202/201 Form, four two-inch ID photos (white background). Those who live off campus please bring Registration Form of Temporary Residence.

All international students who study at BFSU for one semester or longer should purchase Comprehensive Insurance for Foreigners Staying in China designated by our university during registration. The insurance includes Medical Insurance for Accidental Injury, Hospitalization and Medical Insurance. The fee is CNY 400 for one semester and CNY 800 for one academic year. International students without this insurance cannot register at BFSU.

a. Some of our BFSU international student’s apartments are available for online booking. Here are the details:

1) Group-oriented: international students who have been admitted to BFSU and those who have not yet made accommodation arrangements.

Students who will receive the Chinese Government Scholarship (full scholarship), International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (full scholarship), students with some special programs or exchange students exempted from accommodation fees will automatically have a “room for two” reserved, and therefore do not need to book. If you are not sure about your reservation, you can send an email to hexianfeng@bfsu.edu.cn for confirmation.

2) Booking procedures and important notes:

-   Submit the reservation application and follow the procedures during the  booking application system’s open period. For booking instruction, please check and refer to the email notification that follows. Limited rooms are available on campus, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

-   Successful reservations require check-in within the new semester registration period. Failure to do so may result in losing the reserved room. In case of an objective reason for late check-in, you need to submit a written statement and supporting materials to the Overseas Students Affairs Office in advance.

-   Check-in must be conducted at the reception desk of the international students dormitory buildings. Accommodation fees must be paid on time and in full (paid by semester at check-in). Students must comply with Chinese laws, BFSU rules and regulations, and related accommodation management regulations.

b. If you live off campus, please arrange accommodation in advance. You need to go and register at the local police station with your landlord to get the Registration Form of Temporary Residence within 24 hours after moving in. Students living off campus must provide legal residence certificates; otherwise, you are not allowed to register at BFSU and the public security authorities will not process any visa procedures.

a. Tuition fees can be paid by semester or academic year. (Degree students must pay by academic year and non-degree students can choose to pay by semester.) All the fees will be charged according to the CNY price. You can either pay the tuition fee upon registration or transfer money to BFSU’s bank account prior to your coming. If you choose to pay upon registration, please use cash or a bank card in China if applicable. If you have to use a foreign bank card (MASTER or VISA), please make sure to check and adjust credit limit in advance. If not, you cannot pay successfully. And you cannot try this card again. If you choose to make a bank transfer, please keep the transaction receipt and present it upon registration. If you fail to pay the full amount without BFSU approval, you will not be able to register at BFSU.

b. For newly enrolled students, if you drop out within one week due to personal reasons, we will give you a full refund of the tuition fee. If you drop out within two weeks, we will keep 20% of the tuition fee and return the rest to you. If you drop out within four weeks, we will keep 50% of the tuition fee and return the rest to you. No tuition fee will be refunded if you drop out after four weeks (from the first day of registration). Application fee will in no case be refunded.

c. Accommodation fees must be paid by semester. If you check out due to personal reasons in the middle of a semester, accommodation fee will not be refunded.

a. International students must apply for an X1 or X2 student visa before coming to China (for details please consult Chinese Embassy in your country). According to Chinese laws, X1 visa holders must apply for a Residence Permit within 30 days of entry into China; otherwise, they will be considered as illegal residents and be liable to a fine of a maximum amount of CNY 10000. They can even be expelled out of China.

b. Physical examination: X1 visa holders must make an online appointment for a physical examination shortly after arrival in China. Students who have already had a physical examination in their home country also need to make an online appointment, and bring the physical examination records (original copies in Chinese or English) to the appointed hospital for verification. After obtaining the physical examination report, please apply for a study residence permit at Student Service Centre, First Floor of Student Centre Building, East Campus, BFSU.

c. Price (only for reference): For Student Residence Permit, the fee is either CNY 400 per 6 months, or CNY 800 per 12 months, depending on the actual charge of China’s entry and exit authorities. For physical examination, the cost varies from CNY 0 to 400 according to the Chinese health and quarantine department.

d. X2 visa holders studying for one semester only do not need a physical examination.

e. For exceptional circumstances that prevent visa application, please contact BFSU Overseas Students Affairs Office via email: visa@bfsu.edu.cn before entering China.
