The 2025 Job Fair for International Talent wrapped up on 24 May at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), bringing together over 90 leading Chinese companies including JD.com, ByteDance, BYD, Transsion, KUKA Home, OPPO, Sinotrans, Hero Games, Sinovac, CP Investment, China Auto Caiec, Genertec International, China CAMC Engineering and over 3,000 international talents from 135 countries and 143 universities worldwide.

Presented under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and co-hosted by BFSU and University-Enterprise Cooperation Alliance for International Students, the hybrid event combined an on-site exhibition with live-streamed company presentations, bridging international talent with China’s companies with extensive global operations.

Dong Chuan, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange at the Beijing Municipal Education Commission deliver opening remarks on the event. He underscored that the job fair exemplified Beijing's commitment to cultivating international talent by providing an efficient platform that connects global students with local enterprises, thereby reinforcing the city's status as a premier destination for multicultural professionals.

In his speech, Professor Jin Depeng, Vice President of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, emphasized that the event aligns with national priorities to cultivate a diverse talent pool. He noted that the University-Enterprise Cooperation Alliance enables universities and companies to leverage each other's strengths, fostering mutual benefits.

Xia Xiaolian, HR Director at KUKA Home introduced the company’s rapid international expansion and emphasized its growing demand for professionals skilled not only in language but also in navigating different cultural contexts. “The Alliance has matched us with students who can effectively localize our operations in overseas markets,” Xia explained. “Their linguistic accuracy, cultural fluency, and industry expertise are pivotal to accelerating our global strategy.”

Joshua Best, a British undergraduate student at International Business School, Beijing Foreign Studies University, shared his experiences studying in China. He highlighted how BFSU has broadened his global perspective and provided him with practical insights into China's business environment. Looking ahead, he expressed enthusiasm about leveraging university-enterprise collaboration platforms to launch his career and serve as a bridge between Chinese and the world.

At the opening ceremony, Jia Dezhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BFSU Committee, presented the "Initiative of the University-Enterprise Cooperation Alliance for International Students". This initiative, jointly launched by BFSU, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Central University of Finance and Economics, and leading enterprises such as Transsion Holdings, JD.com, and Kuaishou (Kwai), outlines four key objectives:
Support global development by facilitating employment opportunities for international talent. Deepen university-enterprise collaboration to establish a foundational employment platform for international talent. Enhance the employment service system for international talent through cohesive, system-wide efforts. Leverage digital and intelligent technologies to improve the precision of job matching.
The establishment of the University-Enterprise Cooperation Alliance aims to advance the collaborative efforts among government, universities and industry in nurturing international talent. By integrating policy support, resource sharing, and technological empowerment, the alliance seeks to effectively connect multilingual and cross-cultural talent to the needs of Chinese enterprises.
The 2025 Job Fair for International Talent achieved significant outcomes, effectively connecting international talent with Chinese enterprises. Utilizing on-site exhibitions and online presentations, the event reached a broad international audience. Over 90 participating companies offered positions spanning 76 countries and regions, across various sectors, including telecommunications, technology, finance, logistics, and media. A policy consultation booth was set on-site to provide practical guidance to both employers and job seekers.

The event has infused new momentum into the "Study in Beijing+" initiative, which aims to enhance the city's appeal to global talent. Optimizing international talent cultivation and service system, the University-Enterprise Cooperation Alliance for International Students supports Chinese enterprises in their global business operation while attracting more international talents to China, which marks a new chapter in educational openness and international talent engagement.
