On April 20th, International Business School, Beijing Foreign Studies University (IBS.BFSU) held the "2024 IBS.BFSU University-Enterprise Cooperation Forum and International Students Job Fair". This event aimed to deepen university-enterprise cooperation, build an employment information platform for international students and provide companies with outstanding talent with a global perspective. The event was attended by representatives from 20 domestic universities and 25 China’s companies. The job fair offered positions in various fields including telecommunications, technology, finance, logistics, and media, attracting students from 56 countries. Approximately 1,200 students came on site, while around 2,300 audiences watched the online live-streaming presentations given by companies.
The open remark was given by Prof. NIU Huayong, dean of IBS.BFSU. Prof. NIU said in his speech that many Chinese enterprises are now promoting globalisation on a large scale and emerging in the world market, and that IBS.BFSU will further strengthen the "industry-academia-research" mode of cultivation, intensify the cooperation with Chinese enterprises, and contribute to the globalisation of the enterprises together with colleagues in the academia.

Afterwards, Mr. XIU Haoran, Deputy General Manager, Human Resources Department of Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Limited and Ms. CHEN Ying, Chief Director of Human Resources Department of Kuka Home gave the speeches as company representatives. In the remarks, they introduced marketing strategies, talent needs, talent training programs and employee benefits.

Ms. DONG Lili, member of International Business School Committee, Director of Study Student Office, together with Mr. TU Haiqiang, Assistant Dean of the College of International Education of Wenzhou University, shared the approaches their institutions adopting to help international students with social practice, internship and employment.
The roundtable session focused on ‘Initiative for a University Alliance on University-Enterprise Cooperation for International Students Employment’. Participants discussed about the how to better carry out university-enterprise cooperation, how to build the open platform where universities, companies and international students could share the employment information, and how to establish a talent pool where companies could find potential employees with different academic backgrounds and from different countries to meet their own talents demand.
The forum concluded with an awarding ceremony. Prof. LI Chunli, Chairman of International Business School Committee, and representatives from 16 companies jointly unveil the plaques, marking a new stage in cooperation between IBS.BFSU and its partner companies.

Held online and on site, the job fair on the afternoon provided international students with more convenient ways to join, with participating companies simultaneously introducing job position on BFSU campus and via ZOOM. The companies participated in the event including Transsion, ANT International, BYD, Midea Group. These companies expressed in addition to the professional skills, they also valued international students' multilingual abilities, international perspectives, and cross-cultural communication skills. They hope to find suitable talents through the job fair to inject new vitality into their business development.
At the job fair, international students submitted their resumes to companies, engaged in in-depth discussions with company representatives and demonstrated their strengths and potential. Meanwhile, company representatives introduced their corporate culture, career development prospects, and recruitment needs, providing international students with more job opportunities.

The forum and job fair not only provided a platform of employment resources for international students but also further advanced in-depth cooperation between the universities and enterprises, laying the foundation for exploring innovative models of university-enterprise collaboration in the future. We also look forward to more universities and companies joining the university-enterprise cooperation alliance, working together to promote the employment for international students in China.
