On 14 October, Nguyen Thanh Hieu, vice president of National Economics University (NEU) in Vietnam, led a delegation to visit Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Hu Zhigang, vice chairman of BFSU committee, met with NEU delegation.
In the meeting, Hu Zhigang delivered a welcome speech to the vice presidents and other NEU representatives. Hu introduced the construction and development of academic disciplines in BFSU, and pointed out that the two universities can further deepen the exchange of teachers and students and academic cooperation under the framework of the existing Memorandum of Understanding, to bring into play the advantages and achieve win-win collaboration.
Nguyen Thanh Hieu introduced the specialties of National Economics University, appreciated the contribution of BFSU in promoting friendly exchanges between China and Vietnam and people-to-people communication, and hoped to carry out more substantive cooperation with BFSU.
Li Chunli, Chairman of International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (IBS.BFSU) Committee, introduced the school and its program. She hoped to take this visit by NEU as an opportunity to continue to deepen the cooperative relationship and promote the friendly relationship between China and Vietnam from education exchange.
NEU delegates also visited IBS.BFSU and had a meeting with IBS.BFSU representatives. In the meeting, both reached agreement on various cooperative projects and hoped that this visit could deepen the mutual understanding between NEU and IBS.BFSU, and lead more dialogues in the future.
