IBS faculty members were invited to attend the QS Higher Education Summit

On April 17-18, 2024, the QS China Summit 2024 was held in Shanghai, China. The QS Higher Education Summit is organized by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world's leading higher education data and analytics company. The conference brought together 250 leading scholars, industry authorities and leaders from all over the world to discuss the future development trends of China's higher education and its strategic position on the international stage. Niu Huayong, Dean of IBS.BFSU, Zhang Yanping, Director of the International Cooperation Office and Ma Qin, Director of the International Accreditation Office were invited to participate in the event.



The theme of the summit is "The New Global Higher Education Landscape: How China is demonstrating its unique leadership". The participants discussed how Chinese universities should adopt strategies to maintain their uniqueness on the world stage in the context of global changes in higher education. More than 45 leading experts brought exciting keynote speeches, seminars and online networking opportunities to the conference to share their views, practices and research results to promote innovation and development of higher education in China.



Niu Huayong, President of IBS, delivered a speech on the Industrial Upgrading and Globalization of China's Business Education. He stressed that with the rapid development of China's economy and the acceleration of the process of globalization, business education needs to constantly adapt to changes and follow the international trend, in order to better train outstanding business talents to meet the needs of the development of The Times. In his speech, Niu put forward suggestions on strengthening cooperation with the industry, improving teaching quality, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education, and expanding international exchanges and cooperation, which pointed out the direction for the globalization and industrial upgrading of China's business education.



The summit provides an important academic exchange platform for the participants. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions and exchanges, participants shared their research findings, practices and experiences, and explored in depth the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in China.
