On December 9, 2023, the Second Academic Symposium on "Language, Behavior and Management" was held at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Under the background of globalization, human communication and exchange across regions and cultures are increasing day by day. As an important carrier of communication, language has far-reaching influences on an individual's cognition, thinking and behavioural decision-making, and the connection between management behaviour and decision-making and language is becoming more and more inseparable. The symposium is dedicated to promoting the development of interdisciplinary language and management and providing a platform for scholars at home and abroad for academic communication and exchange.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Song Zenin, Vice Dean of IBS, and Li Chunli, Chairman of the International Business School Committee, delivered the opening speech. Li Chunli said that in the era of globalization and informationization, human beings are in a new era of artificial intelligence change. BFSU has been approved to offer 101 foreign languages, committed to promoting cross-linguistic and interdisciplinary cooperation and contributing to the development of the fields of language, behaviour and management. We are convinced that the integration of the different disciplines will lead to a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between language, behaviour and management, and provide more forward-looking solutions for practical applications.

In the morning keynote speeches, Prof. Daxiang Lian from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Prof. Jianbo Gao from Beijing Normal University, Prof. Weiguo Zhang from Shandong University, and Prof. Yingjie Lv from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, gave presentations from the perspectives of language institutions, global risk perception, linguistic economics, and Internet healthcare, respectively. 4 sub-forums were held in the afternoon session, on topicsincluding "Language and Management Cognitive/Behavioral Decision Making" and "Application of Text Analytics in Management". 23 experts and scholars from Xiamen University, Southeast University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and other renowned universities and institutions made presentation.

The closing ceremony of the conference was hosted by Li Sifei, Deputy Director of the Textbook Department of Beijing Foreign Studies University, who presented awards to the 12 outstanding teams and their research results. Li Sifei expressed his gratitude to the participating experts and scholars, and hoped that they would give full play to their own strengths, build a platform for academic exchanges in the field of language, behavior and management research, and work together to promote the development of the field of language, behavior and management research.

More than 100 experts and scholars from Xiamen University, Southeast University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Communication University of China, Heilongjiang University, CITIC Bank Head Office, etc. participated in the conference online or offline.
