On August 3, the 3rd Public Benefit International Challenge for Youth was hosted in Arabic Center, BFSU. The contest was co-hosted by the China-Africa Business Council, the China Social Assistance Foundation, and the International Business School of BFSU. Huayong Niu, dean of the International Business School of BFSU, was present at the contest.
Conscious of four of the Sustainable Development Goals set forth by the United Nations — zero hunger, good health, quality education and gender equality — the Challenge encouraged contestants, who were high school students from China and other countries, to come up with innovative public welfare projects for kids in Africa.
The theme of the contest was to spawn innovative and practical projects for public welfare. Sponsors of the contest will touch up the projects of the winning teams and help them with the implementation processes in Africa.
The contest has captured media attention ever since. CCTV (China Central Television) and CGTN (China Global Television Network) have reported the contest. See links below:
