Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Wish you all the best for 2018!
Dear colleagues and friends,
How time flies! In a week or so, we are going to say good bye to the year of 2017 and usher in year 2018. At this moment, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your company and support in 2017 and wish you and your family all the best in 2018!
The year 2017 witnessed our joy when we scored achievements at various fronts from AACSB Accreditation to the launch of new study programs; from school-enterprise cooperation to multiple culture experiencing events; and from alumni work to ASR development.
AACSB official accreditation application went on well.
Last year, we passed the initial accreditation check from the AACSB and embarked on the journey of AACSB official accreditation application. This year we focused on the preparation for AoL and iSER report which has been going very well.
Chinese Preparatory Program has been launched.
We launched the Chinese Preparatory Program for international students. Combining it with our BFSU-SOLBRIDGE program, we have built an educational platform which is open, diverse and inclusive for international students with various study goals.
School-enterprise cooperation offers more internship and scholarship opportunities.
While improving our study programs, we made great efforts to enhance the school-enterprise cooperation. This year, we signed cooperative agreements with more than 10 enterprises from various business sectors, which contributes to the building of our school-enterprise network and more scholarship and internship available to our students.

In Immersion Week, students immersed themselves into the business culture in China and learned from practices.
Besides, we as always pay great attention to present more opportunities to our students to experience Chinese culture. This year we carried out Immersion Week project twice and visited more than 20 companies at 6 different cities including Nanjing, Pingyao, Hefei and so on with our international students. In this way, students can immerse themselves into the business culture in China and learn from practices.
Students’ visits to companies in Immersion Week
Extended Family Program helped students experience Chinese family culture.
Apart from experiencing business culture, our students tasted the original Chinese family culture in the Extended Family Program. This year, nearly 50 Chinese family participated in this program and hosted more than 40 international students. As Gigi, one of our students said, Extended Family program helped her reach out to Chinese family and she has got her own Chinese family!
Students had great moments with their Chinese Families
The ties between our alumni and our school are tightening.
With months of preparation, we now are glad to see that our Alumni Association is fully functioning. On Dec. 15th, we invited three of our alumni back to IBS and attended the Alumni Experience-Sharing Workshop. We had a full house and with this workshop, the ties between our alumni and our school are tightening.
All-front development of ASR moved forward.
At last but not at least, we would like to share with you our efforts made in the development of Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools (ASR). We are honored to be the Secretariat of ASR. This June, we convened ASR Annual Conference at Ningbo, China. It was a successful meeting and several consensuses were reached. This October, we launched the Belt and Road Business Case Contest. This November, we started the exchange program among ASR members. We are moving fast with joint efforts of all ASR members!
Thank you for your support!
Dear colleagues and friends, once again, we thank you very much for your support this year and we believe that we will do better and go higher with you on our side~~
