Apart from visiting famous tourist attractions, the students also had chances to learn Chinese traditional culture by participating in activities such as Chinese classes, making dumplings with Chinese students, Taichi classes and Chinese traditional wedding ceremony organized by the IBS. In the Chinese classes, the students learned Chinese culture and got a booklet about travelling in China prepared by the Chinese teacher. The students also practiced their Chinese with the IBS Chinese students during the making dumplings activity. DFLHS students sat together with the IBS students, made dumplings and tasted the self-made dumplings first ever. On the meantime, by attending the Chinese traditional wedding ceremony and the Taichi classes, the students gained precious experiences which help them better understand China and Chinese culture.

The closing ceremony

The closing ceremony on January 17 marked the end of the 2015 BFSU winter camp. On the ceremony, Dr. LIU Peng, the active dean of BFSU-Solbridge program, presented the Certificate of Achievement to each student and made the remarks on what the students had gained and learned through this winter camp activity. He also hoped that the students would have opportunities to visit China in the future again and to study here. The students also received gifts prepared by the IBS.
The 2015 BFSU winter vacation provides the Korean high school students a chance to explore China, experience what are happening in China now and have a better understanding about China and the Chinese culture.
